There's a silver lining to this news. Now that I'll have a little more time to just create for fun and not for design team deadlines, I'll hopefully be able to post a little often, including throwing in some stamping and other crafty stuff. And that definitely means more Dreamweaver posts, including taking part in the monthly challenges. I LOVE ME DREAMWEAVER PRODUCT!!!
And now for the Giveaway part!
Each week for the entire month of April, I will feature one or two of my favorite projects created with Dreamweaver stencils and giveaway one of the stencils used!
For this week, since it is April 1, I thought I'd share a couple of cards that use the LG 737 Umbrella stencil.
Paste-embossed on acetate with the original Dreamweaver embossing paste and then colored with pigment inks. Raindrops were silver-paste embossed and sprinkled with glitter. |
Silver paste-embossed and colored with Dreamweaver alcohol inks |
The umbrella stencil is an incredibly versatile stencil and works great for those who like to zentangle or "stentangle" as I like to refer to it!
Want to win the Umbrella stencil? Well, that's so easy to do! Just leave me a comment on what Dreamweaver product you love the most, a technique you would love to try, how you would use the stencil...anything as long as it somehow relates to Dreamweaver or stencils. I will draw one name at random from all the comments posted before midnight, Monday, April 7.
The winner will be announced next Tuesday, April 8 along with the next giveaway!
Think of this as my way of trying to encourage more of you to get behind the versatility and creativity of Dreamweaver stencils! Remember to check out the Dreamweaver Design Team blogs for additional inspiration as well as the Dreamweaver Facebook page for exciting news and more giveaways!
Thanks for supporting me these past 2+ years. I hope you'll continue to stop by and say hi!
Hugs,
Cherylynn

I have so enjoyed seeing your posts with the Dream weaver team. I'm sure you will be missed by the Team. Thank you for all that you shared...just like these incredible cards. I already have this stencil, and I have to tell you that it is my favorite and the one I use those most. Whoever would win the stencil I'm sure would enjoy it as much as I do...(In fact, I won the stencil doing a dream weaver challenge). This is very generous of you.
Congratulations on your "retirement," Cherylynn. Having been on a DT a few years back, I felt great relief when I could create just for the love of it.
Beautiful cards! I don't have this umbrella stamp yet but loved the samples where they used it for zentangle. You raindrops look awesome, thanks for telling us how you did that! Great job! Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful card!!! One of my favorite products is the glossy white embossing paste!
I love your umbrella cards! Dream Weaver stencils are awesome! I am your newest follower!
oh, i know deadlines can be difficult sometimes. Thank you for your two plus years. I have enjoyed your creations. I don't have an umbrella stencil. that would be cool. I have lots of DW though and i love them. You have inspired me once again to go and play with them. I really like the Dream Weave embossing pastes. They work so well. My fave is the Original. :) Thanks for the chance. Enjoy your retirement.
Congratulations on your "retirement," Cherylynn. really like the Dream Weave embossing pastes. Thanks for this amazing opportunity!
I love using stencils. My favorite technique is making faux cross stitch with the large open stencils like the ginger jar, vase, etc. I would like to try the crackle technique. My favorite stencil depends on whichever one I'm using at the time. I love the hummingbird and the cardinal though.
Well, this seems rather bitter sweet. As a fellow crafter currently free from any DTs, I can say that my enjoyment for crafting has returned like when I first started years ago. It really is nice to just create without any restraints or dictations, although there are obviously many wonderful rewards that arise from being a part of a design team as well. I hope you will find your newfound freedoms satisfying and that you continue on your creative journey in life! :) So, I am pretty much brand new to Dream weaver stencils and only recently found your wonderful blog, but I adore so many of their stencils, it is difficult to choose a favorite. I can say that I like larger backgrounder stencils for mixed media projects and larger canvases. But I'm still a beginner and look forward to trying new techniques and stencils for future projects. Currently, I am loving using my homemade texture paste with stencils, letting it dry then sandpaper it for aged and weathered dimension. I just tried it and it looks so cool. I REALLY want to try the silver embossing paste you mentioned in your post--that looks awesome! Well, I've rambled enough lol. Best of luck to you in all of your future endeavors and may God bless you and yours. I will be a follower from now on, new friend! :)
