A May Basket Posy

Welcome to Dreamweaver Tiny Treats Part Two! This week the Dreamweaver "B" team is sharing their interpretation of little gifts and treats made using Dreamweaver stencils.

And since this is the month of May and May brings flowers, I instantly thought of little bouquets!

This is the featured post over on PaperCraft Planet so to find out more, check out the PaperCraft Planet blog.

Otherwise, please take some time and hop on over to the other "B" team blogs and leave them love. I know they'd really appreciate it.

A Bright and Cheery Dahlia

Another grey and dreary day here in the Pacific Northwest! So that must mean its time for another bright and sunny card from Saturday's Spring Fling.
And this one truly is bright and cheery, thanks to Gelatos!
The Impression Obsession Dahlia was stamped and embossed in white on watercolor paper. Then colored with yellow and orange Gelatos and waterblended together using our fingers.

The sentiment is from Flourishes You Inside & Out set. The inside aptly states "brighten my day!"
A simple card but it surely brightened my day.
Please come on back tomorrow for Dreamweaver Thursday. I really like the simple Tiny Treat project I created.
Until then, wishing sunny skies to all of you!

Elegant Tulip

Its a grey, wet day here in the Pacific Northwest so I thought I'd share a bright and cheery card we made at our Spring Fling last week.

This card features the Impression Obsession Elegant Tulip that was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine on Watercolor paper and painted with Twinkling H2Os. Oh how I wish the shimmer would show on the photo. It truly is very stunning in real life.

The Kraft die cut was made from Spellbinders Floral Ovals S4-356 (and I just realized that I forgot to poke out a few cutouts--oops!) and the embossed panel was done with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.

I think this card is going to sit front and center on my desk today to help combat the dreary rainy day we're having!

Hope your day is full of sunshine and happy times!

When flowers bloom...

I had an absolutely wonderful day on Saturday. I got together with a great group of friends for a Spring Fling cardmaking. The theme this years was "It's All About the Flowers" so we made five cards with a floral stamp as the focal point.

This is one of the cards we created:

The Lily of the Valley stamp and the sentiment are both from Flourishes Botanical Bookplates 2 stamp set and the coordinated die is Flourishes Botanical Bookplate die. The Houndstooth stamp (which so perfectly matches the Flourishes stamp) is from Impression Obsession. The cardstock is also all Flourishes.

The other two dies are Spellbinders and the embossing folder is ProvoCraft's Swiss Dots.

All the stamping is done with Stampin' Up's Garden Green and then the image was colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Pleated ribbon and ruffled rose were both created with May Arts sheer organza ribbon.

Since my birthday is in May and Lily of the Valley is the flower for May, I have a special fondness for them. That is why when I saw this stamp set, it instantly was put into my "MUST HAVE" list!

Since this card focuses on blue and green, I thought it would be perfect to submit for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Blue and Green challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow I'll share another card we created on Saturday.

Hugs and happy creating!

It's All About the Flowers!

This weekend I am getting together with a great group of friends for our annual Spring Fling. The theme this year is "It's All About the Flowers". The focus will be on simple designs which highlight the stamps and not so much on pretty papers and embellishments.

Here is one of the cards that we will be creating.

Both the sentiment and the flower stamp are from Flourishes Sunflower set. And the paper is G45's French Country.

Very simple but fun to create and isn't that what it should be all about?

Live Laugh Love

Today the Dreamweaver "B" team is playing along in the "Tiny Treats"challenge!!! Our original assigment was to think party favors, wedding favors, end of school year treats, teacher appreciation gifts, baby shower favors, co-worker treats, in other words...small tokens of appreciation for those you care about.

My project isn't very tiny in size but it really only took a TINY amount of time!!!! (How's that for bending the rules?!)

I love all of the vinyl home decor you see right now. However,  I hate the price of the vinyl stickers. I was at my local craft store the other day and they wanted $10 just for the words LAUGH LIVE LOVE. That got my to thinking and led me today's creation.

I picked up an inexpensive photo frame at Michael's and the using the Dreamweaver LIVE LAUGH LOVE stencils I already owned, paste embossed the words LIVE LAUGH LOVE onto the glass using Glossy Black Embossing Paste. How simple is that? Whole thing took me less than 15 minutes. Once it was dry, I inserted photos of my ADORABLE granddaughter and voila! a cute and inexpensive Mother's Day gift for my Daughter-in-law.

And here's a close-up so you can see how clear the word comes out when using the paste!

I hope this projects gets you to thinking about different ways to use your Dreamweaver stencils. The projects don't need to be complicated or time-consuming. Anybody could do the project I created today and who wouldn't love receiving one of these as a gift?

And if you're not into the glossy black paste, you could do the same thing with glass etching cream for a frosted look. I think that would be really fun on clear glass coasters!

I hope this post has inspired you to create something for the May challenge.  Don't forget to link your creation on the Dream It Up! blog for a chance to be this month's prize winner, and be featured on the Dreamweaver Facebook page!

For additional inspiration, remember to check out the rest of the "B" team:

Until next week, happy creating!

Check out the "A" Team!

Another month, and another challenge for the Dream Team, and all of you who follow along. For the month of May, we are fixated on "Tiny Treats"...party favors, wedding favors, end of school year treats, teacher appreciation gifts, baby shower favors, co-worker treats, in other words...small tokens of appreciation for those you care about.

Since both our A and B teams will be sharing their bright ideas for tiny treats all of the month of May, you have no excuse for not providing handmade tiny treats for those May-June events, and don't forget to link them on the Dream It Up! blog for a chance to be this month's prize winner, and be featured on the Dreamweaver Facebook page!
This week its the "A" teams week to shine. So please head on over for some "Tiny Treat" inspiration. I'll be back next week with mine!
