Awesome Glittery Gift

Dreamweaver Stencils + Art Glitter = SPARKLY FUN!!

This month is the annual collaboration between Dreamweaver Stencils and Art Glitter, and it promises to have double the glitter and double the fun! Follow the trail of bling all of this month on the Art Glitter blog, and the Dream It Up! blog.

The colors and smells of autumn always make me think of my favorite holiday: Thanksgiving. And although I love all the food associated with it, I really love the sentiment of the day: GIVING THANKS.

So today I thought I'd share with you a quick, easy and quite inexpensive stationary set that I love to make to give as a hostess/teacher/neighbor gift. It also works great to make for a Birthday present.

With only one sheet of 8-1/2" x 11"  cardstock and a few scores using your scoreboard, you have a folder that holds A2 size cards and envelopes. (I usually put 4 cards and envelopes inside). Here is a picture of the folder and one of the inside cards, both using the LJ 906 Maple branch stencil that has been embossed with Copper paste and sprinkled with Art Glitter ultrafine opaque glitter:

And here is a picture of the inside showing the pockets which hold the cards and envelopes:

If this has inspired you to create your own notecard set and you'd like the template for creating the folio, let me know. I'd be glad to send you the instructions.

I hope you'll play along with this month's challenge of "Awesome in Autumn." Just link your creations to the linkytool on the Dream It Up! Thursday posts for a chance to win some stupendous stencils and glamorous glitter! As if that wasn't cool enough, Art Glitter is offering a 20% discount this month if you use the code DW20 and...

BONUS: Stencil with Style is also offering a 20% discount this month if you use the code SWS20!

Check out this week's awesomeness which includes our super sparkly guest designer and previous Dream Team member for additional awesome inspiration...

Frosty Fun Finale

Happy Holidays!

Today's post is very short because to be totally honest, I am totally wiped out. Christmas done done me ie! That of course is a good thing because it means I spent time with my adorable, incredible, absolutely fantastic grandchildren!

This actually is an older card I made awhile back before I was on honored to become a part of the Dreamweaver Design Team. You see, I have been in love with Dreamweaver Stencils for quite some time and being on the Dream Team is just icing on the cake for me.

The card is very much me, clean and simple in design. Both the Snowflake ornament and the snowflake background were paste embossed with original Dreamweaver embossing paste and then sprinkled with crystal glitter. Very simple, very easy and very festive!

I hope something in one of the weekly Dreamweaver Dream Team posts has inspired you to participate in this month's Dreamweaver Frosty Fun challenge. The challenge this month is to create a wintery delight. As you've seen from this month's posts, it can be a card, an ornament, a vase....whatever your creative mind desires! There will be two winners, one for "Best Interpretation of the Challenge" and the other for "Best Usage of Dreamweaver products." Each of the winners will receive a brand new stencil design that will be released at CHA next month.

To enter just link up to Mr. Linky or if you don't have an online account, email your creation to Dreamweaver at lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com.

Thank you so much for visiting today. I wish you the bestest of new years and a wonderful, happy and healthy 2013.

Until next year when we "meet" again,

Cherylynn

Here is my post for today:

In celebration of it being the first full day of summer (yeah!), I used the Art Glitter Caribbean set and combined it with Dreamweaver's LL564 Large Lace Border stencil using the Double glitter waterfall technique.
The LM275 With Love stencil was paste embossed and then sprinkled with Crystal Glitter.
A simple, clean card that could be used for a variety of occasions.

Rock Star!

Okay, with graduations and Father's Day this weekend plus all the promos for the movie "Rock Star" playing across the TV, I thought today's card would be quite fitting.

Guitar is Dreamweaver's NEW LL3028 stencil!!!

To create the gold strips, I just cut 1/2" strips of Dreamweaver's Double-sided mounting paper and then sprinkled Art Glitter's Old Gold glitter over them. I created the stars the same way, using a larger piece of the paper and then a Spellbinder's die to cut them out. The black microfine glitter and the white background is my standby Crystal.

I hope you all have a ROCKIN' good day. Don't forget to head over to both the Dreamweaver and Art Glitter blogs this week to check out all the cool glittery creations! And remember to leave comments because there are winners every week! See the Dreamweaver blog for all the info.

Until next week, ROCK ON!!!

A Month of Glitter (UPDATED)

So, if April Showers Bring May Flowers, what does June bring?

It brings an incredible collaboration between Dreamweaver Stencils and Art Glitter!

My creation started with Dreamweaver's LG740 Open Butterfly  stencil and double-sided mounting paper. Using the waterfall technique I applied Sedona Sun, Mai Mango and Red Oak glitter to the openings in the butterfly (hereinafter called a "glitterfly"!) Then after carefully peeling the Glitterfly off of the stencil I finished with a layer of the blue Nirvana (remember blue and orange are opposite colors so they play well off each other.)

Then I ran my orange A2 card through my BigShot with the NEW Daisy background.

For the little butterflies (note: not glitterflies!) I ironed 3 layers of Fantasy Film together and then punched them out with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I apologize, I have had the Fantasy Film for years and no longer have the packaging so I don't know what color it is.

Bright and cheery, exactly what I needed today!
